All week has been super super busy. It feels like i haven’t looked like a normal personal for ages, since i just won’t get off my pajamas. I’m not complaining work is doing great, more than 10 projects running at the same time, features and interviews. It’s that period, that i couldn’t be more excited! But lets be realistic, beyond my happiness, when lots of things are going on, i tend to be very nervous. I’m kinda a perfectionist, and cannot be in peace with myself if i haven’t completed all my projects. That’s when i can spend guiltless, some me time. But that’s not going to happen soon enough and the least i can do is keep my anxiety levels low.
I wasn’t always a task lover, i always thought that everything i need to do, is in my mind. “That’s how you train your brain to remember more things” i used to say and yeah, that’s how i ended up forgetting most of the things i had to do. This week showed me how in control i can be of my tasks, and that planning is your best friend when you are completely drowning. I may be have a great amount of work to do, but as soon as i have everything planned at least i know when to start and when to end. And know that you are not forgetting anything!
I’m not an expert on a which program to use for your tasks, just because i am new to this. Even though i have an app for literally everything when it came to planning my day, i preferred the traditional way. My dear hubby got me an amazing huge journal / calendar, which has a page for a day. Writing my to do lists, appointments and tasks makes it’s so much easier to stay organized, and when i write everything down it makes me remember them even easier. And no need to feel anxious all the time if you are forgetting something. The tasks that i don’t know if i will complete in a day are put on a post it, and will move from page to page.
For those who aren’t so typo maniac like myself, i had tried lots of applications before i ended up to the calendar. To be honest, i was to lazy to write on my iphone and kept postponing writing down my tasks. But i did tried quite a few, like i said, i have an app for everything!
, has to be the most organized, and beautiful of all. If i was using one, this had got to be it. You can have it on your iphone or android (it’s so pretty!) and you can have it on your computer as well and have all of them synced. And the best, it’s free!
is the one i have now on my iphone and use it once in a blue moon just because it’s simple and minimal. When i’m somewhere outside and need to remember something and i can’t stop and write it down on my journal, that’s where i will write it. You have to use it, it just couldn’t be more simple! It also can be downloaded on your computer and phone for free.
Was the very first i downloaded. It looks like a real journal which is kinda cool and has cute customizable tags and lots of other stuff.
But yet, it was too complicated for me at the time but it’s design worths every penny you pay ($3.99)
and if you are looking for something to replace your calendar, that’s the one you should try!
