I’ve been postponing posts around here for just a bit, as i’ve been waiting for the new layout. But since the job will be done early next week, i thought i’d share a quick “story” with you.
There’s already a post in the freelance life series not from a while ago, but i feel there was one thing that i didn’t speak about. Self doubt is something that can easily bring down a creative, something that i’ve already mentioned i’ve suffered from a lot before.
We’re planning a small trip to Bulgary this winter with the family and i haven’t hopped on a snowboard for ages. My feet feel like jelly even thinking about it! What i’ve been reminding myself, is just to let loose and go with the flow. Enjoy the ride, feel that i own it. Those who have been doing a sport, skiing, snowboarding, or even just riding a bike, probably know how you just go with your feeling. Now think that you’re going with a high speed. What’s the safest thing to do? Own it, right? Feel confident.
The minute you doubt yourself, the minute you doubt your feet or your actions, that’s the minute that you loose it and fail. It was interesting how that feeling, clearly reminded me being a designer. Riding in a high speed, and the only way to make it, is believing in your powers blindly, and not for a second think otherwise. Otherwise, you fall down.
The whole thing sounded definitely more wise in my head, but i hope you get what i’m thinking here
