Like the quote says. Seriously. I am probably thinking of cats about a 70% part of the day. I was wondering, do people just born as cat lovers or dog lovers? I sure know that i did! Ever since i remember myself, i always “got” cats. I just get them, understand them.
A lot of people have completely misunderstood cats. They call them selfish, cold, self – seekers and so much more crap. What you haven’t understood about cats, is that they got a thing called personality. What i love most about them (besides being insane cute) is that they are honest, real, like most humans. If they don’t like something, you’ll be the first to know. They are not going to pretend just to make you feel good. And you know, this honest relationship is so refreshening.
What people have also misunderstood about cats is that they are not loyal. Guys. Relationship with cats, needs time, patience, and is built upon honesty. But once you’ve earned a cats trust, you have her for life. I’m the best person to judge that, since i have both a cat and a dog, living together with us, indoors.
The best example is my husband. A dog lover, sworn to hate -uhm- not liking cats 🙂 Thankfully, to my own peace, a few months ago, Theodore discovered how awesome it is to gains a cats trust, and slowly friendship and love. He loves it more than anything. I love dogs like crazy, but with dogs it’s like, they love you, they love him, they love everyone who treats them good! But with felines, they might come to you because you feed them, but they are not going to love you. You have to work hard, to get them truly 100% open to you. Just like people and friendships.
If i haven’t convinced you yet, a while ago, i did a small research on cats, just because i love them so. What i found was remarkable, scientifically proved, and based on studies.
There’s nothing more relaxing from watching a cat sleep, or being around a cat in general. Having Shrek sleeping on me, always makes me want to sleep. It’s the way they relax every single muscle on their bodies that make us wanna mimic that.
Again something a lot don’t know, but there’s no play time like cat play time. They are hilarious, running around like insane, non stoping, sneaky and almost ninja like. I can spent hours watching cat videos, or laugh hysterically watching Shrek being silly. Laughter is number one key in longevity.
It is proved, that cats’ purr create sound waves, that can totally relax us, and even lower the blood pressure. As a result, reducing anxiety, and risk of a heart stroke. So besides making your heart melt, they actually protect it as well.
Autism, help with depression, improve our mood. Should i go on? There are so many other things i found here and there, but here’s a really nice article i bumped on Facebook. Simple and clear, you have to get a cat.
