There was a long loving post written for this Friday about thoughts i’ve been having lately. On living life like it’s the last minute. Remember how i said yesterday how much i get inspired by songs? Yeah, well that happened today when i bumped onto the chandelier. And watching the video, listening to the lyrics, describes everything i want to say so much better. It makes you wanna jump in the air, dance freely, with no restrections (although you wish it was as good as Maddie’s) and just be yourself.
Before i leave with the song to speak for itself i’ll just share with you one tiny thought that came into my mind yesterday. If you just woke up today and died, would you be happy with the life you lived? Would you say that you did all the things you wanted to do and live like tomorrow doesn’t exist? I know i could have done better. What’s the reason of being shy, afraid, or not confident. I think now is the best time to be 100% yourself, and live life 100% as you want.

Firstly, i have to mention how i’ve west coast on repeat all day. And it’s not the first day. Most of the times when i’m designing, i get inspired by the songs i’m listening too. For the past 3 years i’ve been listening hell of a lot Lana Del Rey. There’s just something about her that i can’t get over. The melancholy, the story behind each song, the orchestra, the voice and of course the looks. Weirdest thing ever, is that i reach my most inspired moments when i’m sad. Maybe that’s when all the intense emotions happen. And her songs, definitely give me the goosebumps. So yeah, this graphic is dedicated to the West Coast 😉 And with that said, i did a version for the song, cos i just couldn’t help myself.
There was another post about my schedule on TFL in the past, but after the earthquakes in January, i kinda lost it. This week i decided to scratch everything and start brand new. To be honest, it feels refreshening to change every now and then your routine. So in order to keep the tfl updated, and to answer to a few emails i got recently, here’s my Monday to Sunday.

07:00 pm Waking up to see the sun rise, might be very tough, but worths every second lost sleeping. In my morning ritual, i try to stay away from my phone except the first 5 minutes i wake up. Between you and me, there would be no other way to get me to keep my eyes open.
Tidying up the house, walking Bella, brushing Bella, having breakfast and before i know it, it’s already 9.

09:00 am Before i start working, i dedicate about an hour to catch up with the blogs i’m following, replying to emails and comments, pinteresting, instagraming and scheduling my day. All that, normally would take about 3 hours minimum, but because there is no luxury in that, just imagine me doing all that without catching a breath 🙂
10:00 am Around 10 (sometimes earlier, cos i’m that awesome) i start working on the project with the highest priority, taking 10 minutes break every hour that passes by. Some days, i might have to go out, run chores, or ship packages. That’s when my days are scheduled with an hour free for that.

01:30 pm Yes ladies, you didn’t read anywhere that i cook! Actually, my pretty darn amazing husband cooks and i love him so for doing that. Every once in a week (honestly, more than that) i’ll get to cook as well. So we get a whole 30min to prepare the table and eat.

02:00 pm No time wasted, and i’m back in my office working again. Normally, at that time i’m more relaxed since the most important projects are done in the morning. I get to work side and personal projects and prepare my blog post for the day – which i kid you not, takes about 2 hours. I put so much love into this place!
05:00 pm A very much needed 30 min nap is the first thing i do. I realised that waking up so early, and working non-stop, by the point that i close my computer, i’m simply exhausted. Taking a small nap, is like recharging my batteries.
At that point, phone is allowed, for personal pleasure only lol. No business, no replying to clients. Sorry guys, but this brain has to stay sane in some way! After the nap, Bella and i take a long walk for about an hour by the lake, which is super relaxing for both of us.
06:30 pm When we get back, a 45 min yoga class and then a good cold (well almost) shower and i’m as good as new!
08:00 pm Around that time we’re either sitting on the balcony, or preparing for dinner. And then there’s always movie or an episode at 9.
Those are just everyones favourite. On weekends, i get to sleep till 8 – 8:30 (hooray!). No business is allowed in the house. We focus on relaxing, spending some quality time with each other, see friends and family and going on mini getaways to the beaches around the island.
Within the weekdays though, we always try to squeeze in – on a not so busy day – working from the beach with our laptops, going for a small walk, or walking to the square. I believe it’s very important to add some flavour in your daily and a few “bonuses” to keep you going!

I won’t lie. Hats are my weakest point, and at this moment i have zero in my closet. But they have slowly started to grow in me! Plus they keep you safe from the sun (something Theodore keeps reminding me). Although each and every one of my top 4 below are pretty darn cute, i… Read more »

Although each and every one of my top 4 below are pretty darn cute, i have to admit that the fedora felt hat is just the best. Not sure though how it would work on a really sunny day at the beach on the island. Kinda weird i say 🙂

Everything literally came together in just one day. Today. When we decided to stop making the concrete necklaces, we had never imagined how many requests we would get to bring the jewellery back. So, in the past month, we’ve been working on two collections. One that will be realised soon (hopefully) and has nothing to do with concrete and this one.
This edition, is entirely Theodore’s baby. Making a white concrete jewellery version, with free sprayed colours, that’s him. And you can only imagine how blown away i was when he came up with the marbleised concrete version. I’m obsessed.

And this one, is by far my favourite photo shoot so far. It’s been a year now, and i still have a thing about palms, trees and tropicals. I bet you can just tell, right?

Somehow last week i’ve had quite a lot of ethnic influence on me. It all started with me feeling more grounded, spiritual calm. Then searching for yoga playlists to relax and work on projects. Ending up with me discovering ethnic – world music, and dancing oriental around the house, and really enjoying myself while doing that.
Got me all thinking about what a beautiful world we live in, and how different we all are, with our cultures, music and even style, even though we all live so close – on the same planet. It just brings me so much awe you know? In a couple of days, my shop will run again for just a few limited concrete necklaces, but in the meantime, like i mentioned i’m working on something at that concept. Earthy, spiritual, ethnic and at the same minimal, black bohemian.
It’s fascinating how having a blog, shows how you grow up to become a different person month by month, isn’t it? I bet you all have experienced that. Anyways, so i just wanted to share with you my love and awe to anything ethnic i have bumped into the last week. From songs, to clothes, and soon more to share.
They are only 3, but i promise you, they’re going to take you places guys. Hopefully will get to discover more, and if you know any in that same style, of any ethnicity, i would love for you to share it with me!

Yes! I made it people! After so much work, the new layout is up! After designing and designing the layout, i decided i could code it myself. And so i did. Thankfully i had some help with the javascript, because i swear i was a step away from crying. Really bad. There are just a few bugs right here (topic snot working and some other) but for now, i’ll just pat myself on the back and rest till Monday. Do let me know what you think, or if you see a bug.
A couple of weeks ago, i got to discover surfdome and probably stayed in for a couple of hours. What i loved most about it, is all the extreme sports wear, athletic, yoga and beach stuff all in one place. After being torn between quite a lot of things, i decided to start with a pair of flip flops (black havaianas & white diesel) since all the pairs from last year, had to be thrown away.
The awesome thing is, that if you’re an adventure junkie like myself, you get to find a lot of things in just one place, plus with lots of brands. Especially when living on an island, means that i get to shop everything online. On top of everything, we got like the best possible weather today (90 degrees), to visit the beach and enjoy the summer. The sea seems to be just a bit cold yet, but i swear i could just jump in a heartbeat!

Before i start with this post, i just have to shout out, on how much i am in love with those beauties! I made my husband “steal” from someone’s yard and i just can’t find out what type of flower this is. Smells like roses (it’s so good, it blows my mind) it’s a tree, and the flowers are like tiny peonies. Any suggestions, are highly appreciated.

Ok, back to the post now. This week, while i was writing a q&a for an awesome lady’s blog, i was asked about my creative process, and i was kinda stuck. I had never considered before if there actually is a process behind projects, because i usually just go with the flow. Turns out there’s more in it that i would have thought.

1. CATCH THE CONCEPT

The first and most difficult step (for some) is the actual beginning. Catching the concept. My brightest ideas and creative concepts come to me when i’m not working on them, those few minutes before i fall asleep. Always keeping a notepad next to me to write everything down.

2. GIVE IT SOME TIME

Never go into it right away. At least that’s what works with me. I tend to give the idea some time, air to breath and grow into me. Usually, that turns out to be a good thing, since i end up adding greater elements to it.

3. PRACTISE, DRAW, EXPERIMENT

The first main idea, never stays as it is. After lots of experimenting, wether that’s photography, or a design, it ends up somehow different. But if you don’t experiment in lots of different ways, you won’t end up having something great!

4. TO ASK FOR OPINIONS OR NOT?

Most of the times, we tend to ask loads of people on what they think of our finished product. I’ve always had a dilemma on wether that’s a good thing or not. On one had, someone might give you a good piece of advice, and bring to your attention something you had not seen before. On the other hand though, it might just confuse you more. After all, we are all different people, with different tastes. Trust your gut i say?
