I know i haven’t been the best blogger this week. Can’t wait to get back to my usual habits on Monday, honestly. We returned home today, although we had a lovely time with Chanel and Nikos, we did miss our home. There are still small earthquakes every 10 minutes and big ones every half an hour. In good moments every one hour or two hours.
It’s kinda scary πŸ™‚ I did manage to have a shower without any accidents though! We prepared a small  emergency suitcase, that is next to the door. Our jackets and shoes are next to the door as well and we’re going to “sleep” in the living room with our clothes on. There are a lot of people staying at the boat that is available for everyone on the island, some have left the island and there are still some who stay home. Our neighbourhood is deserted.. well i guess you get the idea!
Life still goes on though, even though we are with one foot outside the door. On a bright side of this week, i had the wonderful honour to be featured on two wonderful places.

And also found the time finally to update my shops policies, information and a little story on how my necklaces are made. Literally you can have a walkthrough in our day, on “Concrete prisms on the make”. The past week there has been an explosion of love for my shop and i couldn’t be more grateful and hell, HAPPY!

Ok that quote didn’t come from experiencing all that crap those days. And can i get a few seconds to mention just how awesome you are? For being here and going through that with me. Thank you for your support, your priers and positive vibes. It means the world to me!
Last week, i was brainstorming some great ideas. Besides going full time on writing my book (could i just go live in an isolated house in Scotland for a few months please?) i’m working on opening another shop. You’ll definitely think i’m insane right? Ok hold that thought for a second, i can change your mind. I just can’t stop all that creativity it has to go somewhere. I can’t reveal what it’s about just yet, but in my mind, i already can’t take it off  πŸ˜‰
Logotype is going out the window, since most of my clients find me through the Blog or the social media. I don’t think i would be able to handle 3 shops at the same time. But making room for one more way to put my creativity on to, is definitely worth it.
What i’m trying to say with the quote is that even if there’s one more shop, your first shop, or just a big step, go for it! We only live once, and tomorrow is already late. Go for anything you have in your mind, there’s nothing to lose, always something to gain.

I’m writing this post  finally from the comfort of a warm and safe house. It has been a very stressful / dramatic / dangerous weekend. For those who i haven’t stress out just yet, we had a 6.2 earthquake on Sunday evening.
It was the scariest thing both Theodore and i have experienced. We live on the top floor of an apartment building, which means that when the earthquake started, we felt the most of it. The noise, the feeling that the roof will fall on you, things falling from the shelves and breaking, pieces of plaster falling from the ceiling and walls creating dust, and broken glass everywhere. Between trying to get out of the house, catching Shrek (our cat) putting him in the crate, and putting Bella (our husky) on leash, must have been the longest minute ever. With the earthquake still going strong.
I couldn’t stop crying even when we got outside the house. Everybody was trying to escape their houses, stressed and scared, and more earthquakes where shaking the ground below our feet. It was chaotic. I couldn’t believe the fact that we were safe outside and most than anything, alive. Walking around the island, you would see houses having damages, people walking, and everybody packing their cars to find some safety. Nobody slept in their houses yesterday. Cars, safe buildings, where their options.
We tried to sleep in our car with Bella and Shrek. With the worst thing that more earthquakes still going on every 1 – 5 minutes. Not letting you relax and forget of your shocking experience. On top of everything, yesterday the weather decided to remember that it’s winter. Cold, rain and snow.
We only got a few minutes today to pack our things, and clean the mess with the door open, ready to escape just in case. We would feel all the shakes every few seconds. That disturbing sound.. it won’t get out of my head.
There are still earthquakes and haven’t stopped. But thankfully we’re now safe in Chanel’s and Niko’s house. It’s a ranch style so it’s safer and easier for us to get out quickly if we have to, relax and shake off the stress. The island is declared on a state of emergency, and the news say that we might be expecting one more big. Things that felt so important yesterday are zero today. How everything can change in 5 seconds right?

It has been just a while that we wrapped up this one, and really couldn’t wait to share it with you. Yup, it goes straight away to my favourite project list. I always wanted to work on something more earthy, a little vintage and modern. I love this project right from the beginning.
THE MOODBOARD
They keywords we worked on was natural, organic, mystical, midnight blue and gold, vintage and modern, authenticity. And simple. It was one of the times that i fell in love with all of the versions designed, and kinda thought to create something similar for myself. Can’t wait to share with you more of the past months projects and very soon my own rebranding!

At the beginning of the week, Trina and i had an interesting discussion about finding our passion, living the creative life and setting our priorities. That only had me thinking, how when having more than one interests like me, can make your life a chaos and be all over the place like i used to be.
We’re about to say goodbye to the first month of this year, and i’m proud to say i kinda have surprised myself. I usually get passionate and excited about new tasks or commitments to myself, but once life gets real, all the excitement vanishes and i get back to my old habits. I guess i’m growing more mature. I’ve been sticking to all my new health / exercise / daily chores routines.
Even more than that, i realised than when i straightened out my priorities there was suddenly room for everything, peace in my mind and joy in my heart. When living a creative life, you definitely have more than one passions, so how do you stay in your deadlines, keeping up with everything, and still enjoying what you do? Isn’t something in the end going to stay behind?
When it came to my priorities i used to have none. I would do whatever pleased me, whenever it pleased me and in the end always stressing out about deadlines. Does it rings any bells? When setting out your priorities, you really have to be honest. What’s the most important thing on your to do list that needs to always be on top?
Juggling between being a graphic designer, having a jewellery shop, a blog and writing a book at the end of the day always something was staying behind (usually my brain). There are mornings that i just wake up, and i want to just start blogging, but if only it was that easy, and we could do anything we wanted! Setting up my priorities now, goes something like: Morning (8 – 2), working on graphic design clients. Afternoon (3 – 5), working on the blog and jewellery shop. Evening (5 – 7) working on my book. And at the end of the day, there is some room to rest and see my husband πŸ™‚
For me, it’s all about staying honest between what you have to do, and what you want to do. Realise the difference between those two and be strict with yourself. It might be repressive at the beginning, but once you realise that you can make room for everything, be stress free and still passionate about would you do, it’s gonna feel much more liberating.

First of all, let me start by saying an enormous thank you for the love you showed me on my style post! Reading your comments made me blush more and more, i am too shy for them!
I have been in a romantic mode for the past week and i have schedule one Valentine post for the next couple of weeks. Yesterday, Theodore and i celebrated our 4 year anniversary, and honestly i was more excited than him to give him his gift.
Those love coupons, are the best gift you can give to your loved one. I put on mine tones of things that i knew that would blew him away. 30 min massage, slave for a week, free pass from cooking or cleaning for a week, make a wish come true etc. And indeed it was, the best gift i have made him.

Instead of making one set, i made 2. One to keep and one to give. To you! So here’s a flash give-away for just one day. The set is already in a folder waiting to be sent so you can give it as a main present, a side present, to your boyfriend, husband or best friend even!
Or you can download the template right here and make a set of your own:
